Outgoing business major who knows a spot on campus!
Hi! I'm Stella Rogers, a future Economics major, and I’m applying to the Foster Business School. I am originally from Napa Valley, California, and coming from out of state to a big school in Washington, I learned how to put myself out there, explore my new city, and turn this place into my home! You will usually catch me hanging out with my friends in our sorority house, playing tennis with the club team at the IMA, or on the Ave with an iced latte in hand. I love going for hikes, and I am so lucky that the most beautiful lakes, mountains, and forests are within an hour’s drive of campus! I’d be happy to show you around our little campus and all that it has to offer, all my favorite study spots, favorite quick snacks on campus, and what I love about the University of Washington. Come with questions; the more, the better!

Describe your college experience
My college experience at the UW has been incredible so far; the way that UW helps new students adjust to college life is seamless. The campus feels busy, and with the proximity to Seattle and downtown, there is always something to do or to be a part of, meaning there is never a dull moment.
Tip for future students
One thing I recommend for new students is to just get involved and keep doing the hobbies because it lets you branch out and make friends, as well as lets you keep up with your passions.
Favorite class
Info 200 because of how inspiring the professor is and how interesting he made information systems to be.
Career goals
I hope to work at a consulting firm after college and, hopefully, move back to the Bay Area, where I am from. I also hope to take some time to travel right after graduation.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Getting ready and grabbing a bunch of my close friends and going out to eat dinner at a fun restaurant in one of the Seattle neighborhoods.
High school or secondary school
Cate School
Favorite spot on campus
The Quad because its both social and beautiful and always reflects the time of the year with the autumn leaves and the cherry blossoms.
