Hi! I’m Ashley, I am a sophomore at MSU majoring in astrophysics, also in the Honors College. I’m involved in a couple of clubs and groups at Michigan State. I love sporting events, the dairy store, and the new student rec building.

I am a part of Salt MSU and MSU dance club. Academically, I am in the stellar mentorship as well as the astronomy club.

Describe your college experience

I have had a great experience. I love the campus. I love the people. It was nerve-racking for maybe a couple weeks but every Freshmen knows that feeling, once I put myself out there I made friends very quickly and everyone on campus is so welcoming.

Tip for future students

You have to be willing to put yourself out there both academically and socially, take the opportunities to meet new people and get involved in clubs.

Favorite class

Calculus 1, I had a great professor, and the overall content was good. I also appreciated the videos provided by MSU to help further my knowledge.

Career goals

I’m looking to go into research at a private telescope company. One day maybe even working for NASA.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Ice cream run to tasty twist with my friends with dinner somewhere on grand river.
