Hello! My name is Amit, and I am a rising senior studying Economics at UW-Madison. I was admitted to Wisconsin for Mechanical Engineering and studied that for one year. I’ve directed an Engineering student organization, currently participate in a non-music major University Band, and I work as a Career Advisor at the College of Letters & Sciences. In addition, I’ve worked 3 summer internships, all outside the Madison-area.

Describe your college experience

My college experience started out far better than I expected, and Madison has done nothing less of setting me up to succeed. This truly is a gem of a school.

Tip for future students

You need to budget out every single expense. Madison is a similar cost of living for students to major cities around the US.

Favorite class

MHR 322, which split us into groups to make our own t shirt brand and actually sell shirts. This class taught me the power of collaboration, and how demand can be forecasted differently than in real life. Highly recommend to all majors!

Equity Research, Commercial Banking, or Start my own company.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Grab a few drinks out with friends, come back to my apartment and play video games​/​watch movies.
