Describe your college experience

Transitioning to college was definitely an adjustment at first, especially learning how to manage my time and balance academics with everything else. Over time, I developed better habits and found my rhythm. My experience at Ohio State has been really rewarding - I’ve been able to explore my interests in math, finance, and data science while also getting involved in different opportunities on campus. Overall, it’s helped me grow a lot both academically and personally.

Tip for future students

One thing I wish I knew earlier is how important time management is. Classes move fast, and it’s easy to fall behind if you’re not organized. I’d also recommend getting involved early, whether it’s clubs, internships, or just meeting people, because those experiences make a huge difference. Don’t be afraid to ask for help either; there are tons of resources at OSU that can really support you.

Favorite class

One of my favorite classes has been Planetary Science because it gave me a completely new perspective on our solar system and how planets form and evolve. I really enjoyed learning about topics like planetary atmospheres, surface processes, and the possibility of life beyond Earth. It made science feel much more connected to big, real-world questions.

Career goals

After college, I hope to pursue a career in quantitative finance, where I can apply math, data analysis, and programming to solve complex problems in markets. Long term, I’m interested in working on strategies that combine data science and financial modeling.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal free night is a balance between relaxing and staying productive, maybe working on a personal project or learning something new, then unwinding with friends or a good show.
