Describe your college experience
I was an out of state student so it was a big adjustment at first. I was very nervous but learned to never say no your first few weeks. It helps give you the opportunity to try everything. You will find where you fit in through that and by experiencing all of the social events and clubs that Ole Miss has to offer. I have had no regrets with my decision to go here and highly recommend it.
Tip for future students
I wish I had made more connections with my professors from the start! Reach out from the start because connections will take you far here!
Favorite class
My favorite class I have taken is sports psychology. I loved getting to learn how athletes brains operate and what goes through their minds.
Career goals
I am planing to go forward with my education and go to medical school. I am preparing to take the MCAT to make this happen.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a night at college would be to go be social. I love to grab dinner with my friends and go to sporting events.

We had such a wonderful experience hiring Maci through School Scoops to give us a tour of the University of Mississippi! She was incredibly kind, outgoing, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we met her. Maci is a senior at Ole Miss, and her knowledge of the campus and student experience really stood out. She showed us around the different buildings and shared so much helpful information about campus life. Since we visited over Labor Day weekend, the campus was understandably pretty much a ghost town, and we weren’t able to get into many of the buildings. Even so, Maci made the tour incredibly informative and worthwhile. What I appreciated most was that she went beyond simply showing us the campus. She gave us a genuine student’s perspective on extracurricular activities, Greek life, student life, living arrangements both on and off campus, and even offered advice about what my daughter should do when she arrives at Ole Miss. I was especially grateful that Maci took time out of her Labor Day weekend to spend with us. She was patient, personable, and made my daughter feel comfortable asking questions and getting a real feel for what life at Ole Miss could be like. I would highly recommend Maci to any family looking for a University of Mississippi tour from a student’s perspective. She gave us insight that you simply can’t get from a traditional campus tour, and we truly appreciated the time she spent with us!
