Describe your college experience
It's been great. I think one of the cool things about college is that everyone is new to this, everyone is figuring it out and looking at what classes to take and who to room with and how to deal with this new freedom, and it's really cool that you don't have to do it alone. You have the whole school to do it with.
Tip for future students
Experience as much as you can. Be safe but go outside and do things. Meet new people. Try new food. Play sports, hike, exercise, learn new things. You have this new freedom, and you can you should take advantage of it.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been my core class. It's one of the few classes that I take that has been discussion based, and it means that I get to talk to fellow students who are on a point in the journey that I am. It's a great intro to college course.
Career goals
I hope to continue staying active, hiking and playing sports. I also hope to keep the friends I made here and have a fulfilling job that uses the skills that I will learn after 4 years at UC Santa Cruz.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My idea free night in college is going downtown, via bikes, with my friends, eating dinner at Pizza My Heart, and watching a movie at the Santa Cruz Cinema. In between dinner and movie, I might explore the downtown area a little bit. At the end, we take the bus back home.
