University of South Florida
My name is Riley, and I look forward to sharing my USF experience with you!
I have been attending USF since August 2025. I am majoring in Psychology, and I am proficient in the university's layout. I am excited to share the lovely scenery USF's campus has to offer. I can also recommend where the best places to eat, live, and park on campus are. If you choose me to be your tour guide, you will know everything you need to know about USF!

Describe your college experience
My experience at USF has been delightful. One of my favorite things to do is buy Chick-Fil-A from one of the two spots on campus and brood at Castor Beach. My favorite events on campus were USF Week and Homecoming (also a week-long event). Most of the events offer some amount of free food, yard games, dancing, and playful encounters with Rocky D. Bull. The football games are enjoyable as well. They currently take place at Raymond James Stadium (where the Buccaneers play). Sometimes Argos has sampling events where you get free desserts from. I had a smooth transition to college because I focused on my studies and trying to make friends.
Tip for future students
You cannot use dining dollars at the Publix on campus. Make sure to spend your meal swipe (Or two swipes, depending on what meal plan you have.) at Argos BEFORE using dining dollars. ALWAYS make the trek to Juniper Dining Hall (instead of The Hub) if you feel well enough. If possible, room with a friend who you know will be a good roommate. The Rec center is a much better gym than The Fit. Make as many friends during the Week of Welcome events on BullsConnect, there won't be as many events after the first week. Bring sunscreen and short sleeves, be prepared to be hot! Avoid doing your laundry on Fridays and weekends, those are the busiest days.
Favorite class
My favorite class so far has been Beginning Spanish 1 (SPN1120). The class was in a small classroom, which made my professor available for personal help with the material. I learned a lot of Spanish, and became exceptionally comfortable speaking, reading, listening, and writing it. My professor had us make PowerPoints of our choice (so long as they were in Spanish), which was very enjoyable. The other students in the class made for a comfortable and fun learning environment.
Career goals
I aspire to be a licensed Mental Health Therapist.
Ideal way to spend a free night
During the Spring 2026 Semester, I spent my free nights visiting my friends in the common area of their dorm floor. Sometimes we would watch Game of Thrones or random TV shows together. We also would plug in an Xbox or Nintendo Switch to the TV and play games together. Notably, we had our friends with no Fortnite experience try and survive as long as possible with our coaching.
High school or secondary school
Lawton Chiles High School and Florida A & M University, both are in Tallahassee, Florida.
Previous college
Florida A & M University was where I dual enrolled during high school. I had no issue transferring my credits by using the National Student Clearinghouse.
