My name is Lauren and I’m going to be a sophomore at Tufts in the fall.

I’m from Haverhill, Massachusetts which is about 45 minutes north of Tufts. I am on the cross country and track and field teams here. I plan on majoring in Biopsychology on the pre-med track. I love the beach, staying active, and traveling.

Describe your college experience

All the students here are so welcoming and friendly. All the professors want their students to succeed and I’ve really appreciated all the support they give to students. I loved having my upperclassmen teammates to help me adjust to the new college lifestyle.

Tip for future students

I would recommend students to get involved in things around campus to meet more people and have fun!

Favorite class

Personal and Social Development because my professor, Dr. Emma Armstrong-Carter was the nicest woman I’ve ever had teach me. I learned so much about childhood care and the psychology behind children’s behavior. It truly showed me what it means to have a teacher who really cares about their students.

Career goals

I hope to go to medical school after college.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal way to spend a free night would be to go into Boston with my friends and try a new dinner spot.
