Describe your college experience
I am a senior, and it took me 2 years to learn that college is not what you see in movies. It is hard work. You have to make the decision to get up every day and go to class or leave your room, even when you have no social battery. I found my people, my program.
Tip for future students
College is not what you see in movies. It is not just partying; then you go to class fully energized, and then go party again. It is hard work. Most of you have not had to go make a bunch of new friends since kindergarten. It is hard. My tip is to go to everything, even when you're tired, even when you want to nap. Say hi to everyone, cause you have to realize everyone is in the same boat as you.
Favorite class
My favorite class has probably been advanced single cam with Scott Hodgson or Gaylord Hall Productions with Scott Hodgson. It gave me real-world clients and productions to work on. These classes gave me the ability to learn on real sets to get productions for my reel and continue to build my resume.
Career goals
My first path is wanting to be a professional mascot. I have been in contact with some big name mascots, so I want to see where that goes. My path is to work with film and do that. Movies, commercials, etc.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Have a mascot event, hang out with friends, play Mario Kart, and go out with friends if the night calls for it.
