Describe your college experience
My transition to college has been exciting and challenging in the best way. Michigan has given me the opportunity to explore my interests in engineering, get involved with organizations, and meet people with experiences different from my own. I’ve enjoyed becoming part of the campus community and continuing to grow both inside and outside the classroom.
Tip for future students
Don’t feel like you need to have everything figured out right away. Take advantage of opportunities early, whether that’s joining organizations, exploring classes, or meeting new people. Michigan has so much to offer, but you most definitely have to put yourself out there to find what fits you.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been my ENGR 100 Manufacturing class I took freshman year because it gave me the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the engineering design process. Working on projects me and my group had envisioned ourselves allowed me to apply concepts from class to build, prototype, and problem-solve in a real-world setting. It was exciting to see how ideas could go from a design concept to an actual product.
Career goals
I hope to pursue a career that combines mechanical engineering with business while creating technologies that have a meaningful impact. I’m interested in working on innovative solutions that bridge engineering, design, and entrepreneurship, especially projects that address the needs of underserved communities and improve accessibility for people with fewer resources.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Going with my friends to explore Ann Arbor, especially trying out different coffee shops and restaurants downtown. I enjoy finding new places around the city, spending time with friends, and taking a break from the busy pace of classes.

Favorite spot on campus
The Diag, especially during the early fall semester, is my favorite spot on campus. Before everyone gets overwhelmed with exams and studying, it’s a place where you can really see the energy of Michigan. People are out playing volleyball, listening to music in hammocks, hanging out with friends, or just enjoying the weather. It really displays the sense of community and excitement that makes campus feel alive.
