Hello! I am a senior at the University of Michigan studying Industrial and Operations Engineering with minors in Computer Science and Business. Throughout my time at Michigan, I have participated in several organizations across campus that have diversified my experiences and allowed me to meet plenty of people in other majors. Through this network, I have a great deal of information on most of Michigan's academic and extracurricular offerings. I am also happy to help prospective students learn more about Michigan's student culture and community!

Describe your college experience

Michigan has provided me with the best resources to transition into college life. The College of Engineering's academic advisors did a great job with helping me set up a plan during my first week on campus, and I have largely stuck to that plan throughout my four years. Social adjustment was also pretty seamless, as Michigan's variety of student organizations helped me meet plenty of friends.

Tip for future students

The most important advice I have for incoming or prospective students is to speak with older students. University staff, online forums, and social media can only tell you so much about a college, specific programs, and more. Meanwhile, older students who have been through it all know all of the tips and tricks to help make life easier and ensure you can get the most out of your college experience.

Favorite class

The Industrial Engineering Senior Design course has been my favorite class at Michigan, as it has allowed me to work with a team of fellow IOE students to act as consultants for a local manufacturing and distribution company. This course has helped me utilize IOE specific knowledge to tackle industry problems, under the supervision of a great professor.

Career goals

After college, I will be entering to consulting industry, specifically in the product development and procurement space. My end goal is to work with aerospace or generative manufacturing start-ups.

Ideal way to spend a free night

On weeknights, going to different restaurants, shops, cafes, and bars in downtown Ann Arbor is my favorite way to immerse myself in this amazing town. On the weekends, Michigan students love to go attend sporting events and also go out with friends they have made through classes and clubs.
