Describe your college experience

Transitioning to college definitely comes with its challenges but once you find your footing and find the people you click with, the time flies by and you come to deeply enjoy and appreciate it and the people around you. I have personally experienced the challenges of finding a major and curriculum that fits your talents and passions.

Tip for future students

- Don't be stressed about finding "your people" in the first few weeks, it takes time - Changing your original major is not the biggest deal in the world and is sometimes exactly what you need to do to be successful - Try different clubs, this is one of the last times in your life that so many opportunities are easily available to try - Actually go to your lectures and take good notes, even if attendance isn't mandatory and everyone else is skipping

Favorite class

My favorite class so far has been Scientific Writing and Presentation, my professor truly cares about teaching his students and helping them learn and perform to the best of their abilities. It challenges you and teaches you professional public speaking skills but you get to pick subject matter that you are passionate about.

Career goals

I hope to work in the public outreach and communications side of wildlife conservation and environmental policy
