LSU Pre-Law Sophomore & Tour Guide | Experienced Community College Transfer |
Hey y’all, my name is Riley and I am a pre-law sophomore at LSU ready to give passionate, friendly, and informative tour guides across campus! I am originally from Texas, and I transferred to LSU from a community college there so I have a little bit of experience as a transfer student. As for clubs, I am currently only involved in NSLS and PTK (I am going to get more involved on campus though) and am hoping to make this my part time job as I’ve been working in customer service ever since I was 16, so I also know what it’s like to be a student and work. So even though I am still adjusting to the “college life” I still have a grasp of what I’m doing and I can’t wait to start hosting tours for y’all and learn more alongside anybody that comes my way!

Describe your college experience
I was going to go to lsu during the fall time after I graduated high school like normal, but it was wayyyyyy to expensive and I didn’t have any outstanding scholarships to help me with that much money so I just went to what turned out to be a horrible community college in Texas for one year and then transitioned after I got more adjusted so to speak with more resources for scholarships and things of that nature. My transition to a better university has been somewhat more difficult than normal, but now that everything has been properly handled it’s been pretty good so far. I love how beautiful and almost magical the campus is, as well as how helpful and kind the staff is with getting resources and information. I actually haven’t started my classes yet, so I can’t say anything about the most important part of college except that I’ve heard pretty odd things about the professors haha. So overall, my college transition and experience has been peaceful and good :)
Tip for future students
Just be prepared, hustle to get what you need, do your work, do your best, bring a pair of tennis shoes so that you can walk around campus without your feet dying lol, make sure you always have a water bottle on you too, and you’ll be fine and do great! 😊
Favorite class
My favorite class(es) have always been English because it’s my favorite subject and the class I always do the best in. It’s just always been really easy, chill, and fun for me, even in more challenging classes, yk?
Career goals
I hope to pass the bar exam and become a lawyer - both in the US and internationally!
Ideal way to spend a free night
As a homebody, my ideal way to spend a free night is to lay in bed at my apartment, eat good food, and do whatever I please at home🤷🏻♀️
