Describe your college experience
Transitioning to LSU was definitely an adjustment, especially coming from out of state. At first, I was nervous about being in a new environment and being so far away from home, but I quickly found a community through my campus events and made connections with other students. So far, my experience has been both challenging and rewarding—I’ve learned to balance academics with student life and discovered new opportunities I didn’t expect. LSU has really started to feel like home, coming from someone from Florida, and I enjoy being part of such a spirited and supportive campus.
Tip for future students
My biggest tip is to get involved early. Whether it’s clubs, study groups, or campus events. LSU is a big school, but joining organizations and talking to classmates makes it feel smaller and more like home. Also, don’t be afraid to ask questions and use campus resources like tutoring centers and advising—they're here to make things easier for you. Lastly, I wish I had known how important time management is; there are a lot of distractions here, so know how to maintain balance.
Favorite class
My favorite class so far has been ASIAN RELI 2027. I really enjoy learning about different cultures, beliefs, and traditions, and this class has opened my perspective on how people around the world view life and spirituality. It’s been both interesting and eye-opening, and it’s one of those classes that makes you think about the world in a new way.
Career goals
After college, I plan to pursue my master’s degree and become a Dermatology Physician Assistant. I’ve always been interested in both science and helping people, and dermatology combines those in a way that allows me to make a real difference in patients’ confidence and health.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal free night is just relaxing and catching up on my favorite shows. It’s the perfect way for me to unwind after a busy day of classes and recharge for the next one.
