University of Georgia
Local for life Athens and UGA tour guide!
Hi! My name is Emma and I just finished my freshman year at the University of Georgia and have absolutely loved every second of it. I am working towards a major in Nutritional Sciences and a minor in Biology, and I am on the pre-PA tract. I grew up around Athens, and I have so many wonderful memories and inside knowledge about uga, things to do, and, of course, where to eat!

Describe your college experience
I have grown up around Athens for basically my whole life, so I was worried that my experience here would be more of the same and not exciting. However, I have had the most wonderful, fun time. Many of the things to do here in college are different and simply living on campus opened up so many more opportunities for me.
Tip for future students
- Try to join other clubs! Even if you don't end up going all the time, you still get your food in the door. - Talk to people in class and get their numbers. You will want to reach out to someone about a project or test! - Take advantage of free tutoring or buy tutor materials early.
Favorite class
I loved my Nutrition for the Lifespan class because it really got to focus on my special interest, nutrition, in a greater depth than before. I also loved my Flowers class because flowers are something I adore, and this class, which counted towards my minor, allowed me to know more about the history, types, and jobs of flowers.
Career goals
I hope to go to PA (Physicians Assistant) school and focus on pediatrics or women's health.
Ideal way to spend a free night
I love hosting a fun, cute dinner or themed party! I also will always love a movie night with popcorn.
