Describe your college experience

I struggled to adapt to school at first, I went to a public high school in Buffalo and the shift to Columbia was difficult. With time and perseverance, I adapted and began to thrive at this school, and now am very happy with my major, friends, and extracurriculars.

Tip for future students

Starting college is very daunting, but just know you are never alone. There are always people around you ready to help and vouch for you.

Favorite class

My favorite class has been a global core Latin American History class. This was one of those classes where the professor is genuinely a genius and a phenomenal teacher. I looked forwards to this class every week and I felt like I learned Latin American history through a thoughtful, critical lens.

Career goals

I hope to become a midwife after college, which, if I choose to do so in the US, is a doctorate in nursing.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Ideally, I will go out in the city with my friends, exploring new neighborhoods and places to eat!
