Hi! My name is Maguire, and I attended James Madison College at Michigan State University as a Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy major. I am currently a first-year law student (1L) at MSU College of Law. I have lived in East Lansing for going on four years and know the area well. Describe your college experience

My transition into college was entirely straightforward. I had to unlearn some bad habits I brought from high school, but through hard work, I am not a 1L at MSU College of Law.

Tip for future students

Take your academics seriously, and have other interests and curiosities outside of school.

Favorite class

My senior seminar on the concept of power in political theory and philosophy with Dr. Parietti. It was a small seminar style class with only eight student where we got to discuss complex philosophical texts.

Career goals

I am currently a 1L at MSU College of Law, and I hope to become an attorney after graduation.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Making dinner with my girlfriend or trying out new restaurants.
