knowledgeable business major who knows all things about campus small to large.

Hello! I’m Jonathan, a second year business student from Illinois. In my free time, I love to hang out with friends, play sports, listen to music, or participate in extracurriculars. As an out of state student Michigan state, I would say I had a great time getting used to the Michigan State lifestyle. It may seem very difficult, but it’s much more scary than it seems. With so many undergraduate students, are you sure you’ll fit right in.

Describe your college experience

My transition to college was a little bit tough to start, but I was able to fit in very quickly. I say this, because as an out of state student, I didn’t know a lot of people, but I was able to find my group pretty quickly. I also think that my transition was with classes were pretty seamless. I picked up the pace almost immediately. Outside of that, I think lots of extracurriculars and social life were very easy to catch onto at such a big college.

Tip for future students

I think that I’m mean to for income students would be trying to get yourself out there, and getting involved in as much stuff as you can. I think this because it’s easy to join everything at the beginning of the year and choose from there what you would like to continue doing, rather than not joining anything at the start and trying to figure out later what you would like to join. Class wise, I would say make you not to overload yourself with glasses. Just because you got up so early and took so many classes in high school doesn’t mean it’s the same logic for college. Especially since college is much higher commitment.

Favorite class

Computer Science (CSE102) because I really liked the format of the class and the teachers really enhanced the content to make it really likable.

Career goals

In the future, I hope to be either a tax auditor or a certified public accountant. But I’m very open minded into how the future of accounting or possibly even finance play out.

Ideal way to spend a free night

On a free night I would usually hang out at my friends dorm and watch a sports game, or recently we’ve really been getting into ping pong so going down to the game room and playing ping pong with all of my friends has been really fun.

High school or secondary school

Barrington High School

Favorite spot on campus

I would say my favorite spot on campus is the IM building because there are lots of events outside of IM east that lots of people go to for. I also really enjoy the facilities they have in the building for playing sports or just working out.
