Junior in Business who is outgoing and loves to talk to people !
Hi guys! My name is Eva and I am a Business major at Purdue studying Supply Chain Management and minoring in Economics. I will be a Junior this year and look forward to continuing my education here at Purdue. I am very extroverted so I am apart of 3 different clubs! Two are business clubs and the other is dance. I love to dance and have been participating in Higher Ground DC since my very first semester at Purdue! When I’m not working on school there are many different ways I spend my time. You will find me reading outside, lifting in our Rec Center, hanging out with my friends, or cooking at home. It’s important to have balance during college. It’s something I have learned to master as someone who wants a high gpa but also loves to enjoy their free time. I have a lot of experience with living on campus at Purdue as I lived in the dorms for my first two years. I know all the tips and tricks to make doom life enjoyable and plenty of advice on how to make the rooms feel homey! I’m here to answer all your questions about Purdue! Especially the ones that you can’t find on a website as I know how important it is to get a real feel for the college you’re wanting to attend. I love to talk and meet new people so please ask me anything and I look forward to meeting with you!

Describe your college experience
My college experience has been good but started off a little rocky. There was a big transition period for me where I had to learn to be on my own, make friends, and manage course work. It was really hard at first and it felt discouraging. However, I made myself push through it and ended up loving where I’m at. I’ve made some amazing friends and have had so much fun! I’m proud of myself for sticking it out. I really enjoy the size of Purdue as it has enabled me to meet all my friends, go to fun games, and always have something to do.
Tip for future students
My best advice would be to lower your expectations. And that doesn’t mean your college won’t be great, but it does mean that they may just have a harder time adjusting than they first thought. It’s easy to expect yourself to fit right in and feel disappointed if you don’t. But it’s good to remember to take your time and allow yourself to adjust to a new place.
Favorite class
My favorite classes have been my micro economics classes and calculus. This is because they deal with a lot of math and I enjoy problem solving. I also really enjoy the moving pieces of economics and how one factor affects another.
Career goals
After college I want to move to a bigger city and start my career. I envision myself working in supply chain and also continuing to waitress on the weekends because it’s something I enjoy.
Ideal way to spend a free night
An ideal way would be to hangout with my friends. Definitely get dinner together first and then come back to someone’s place to get ready. I love getting ready with my friends and playing music while we do it. Then we would hopefully go meetup with more friends and have a game night or see a movie. If it’s a weekend more likely to meet up with people and spend some time at a house party and hopefully meet some new people!

Favorite spot on campus
I think my favorite place is the Union. We have a lot of really good food and the study areas are so peaceful. A runner up would be the Stewart center because i love studying in its libraries.
