My name is Elle Simek and I am a junior studying communications and marketing at the College of Charleston. I am a intern at the College of Charleston Athletics Department working with our many division I teams. I also play women's club volleyball and work with fundraising within my club. I am a Chicago locale but have a lot of knowledge on the Charleston area and our campus.

Describe your college experience

I love the college here and the culture we have. We are a medium sized institution so we have a lot of students but also we have our own community where the professors know your name and you aren't just a number when you come to the college. We have great sports teams that are fun to cheer for and we live in a large city with amazing opportunities as well.

Favorite class

My favorite class has been microeconomics. As a marketing minor I love learning about our economy and how everything surrounding it works. I also love my professor and he really makes the class interesting and is always cracking jokes.

Career goals

I hope to be a content creator for a large university or a director of operations for an NCAA basketball or volleyball team. I would also love to work in broadcasting for a pro team.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal free night would be hanging out with friends on King Street grabbing a meal at one of our many restaurants.
