Describe your college experience

Transitioning to college definitely came with its ups and downs moving to Columbia, meeting a ton of new people, and figuring out how to balance classes with everything else going on was an adjustment at first. But USC made it feel like home pretty quickly. The Darla Moore School of Business has challenged me in the best way, especially as I've gotten deeper into my finance and real estate courses, and I've loved getting to learn from professors who actually have real-world experience in the industry. I feel settled, I know my way around, and I'm excited about where things are headed."

Tip for future students

Don't stress if you don't have everything figured out right away. A lot of people change majors, switch clubs, or find their path in unexpected ways, and that's completely normal. On the academic side, go to office hours seriously. Professors at the Moore School are way more approachable than you'd think, and building those relationships early pays off huge when it comes to internships, recommendations, and just understanding the material better.

Favorite class

"My favorite class so far has definitely been FINA 363. It was the first finance class I took at the Moore School, so it's the one that really made everything click and confirmed I was on the right path. A huge part of what made it great was my professor they had a way of breaking down complex concepts and making the material actually enjoyable to learn, not just something to get through. I walked out of that class more excited about my major than when I walked in, and that's honestly the best thing you can ask for from a course.

Career goals

"After graduation, I'm hoping to break into private equity real estate. I love that it sits right at the intersection of my two majors using finance to analyze deals, structure investments, and evaluate risk, while also working with tangible assets and real properties that shape the way communities grow. It's a competitive space, so my focus right now is on building a strong foundation through my coursework, landing internships that give me real experience, and networking with people already in the industry.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal free night is pretty simple either hanging out at my house in the Greek Village with my friends, just relaxing and catching up, or heading out to Five Points for the night. Both are the best in their own way.
