I'm a 4th year Information technology major with a minor in cybersecurity. I've been with UCF for a while now, and I've been around many different parts of Orlando. So I would be able to guide and show all the great parts of UCF, and what to do in the surrounding area of Orlando.

Describe your college experience

As a transfer student, I was nervous and scared going from a community college to such a big campus like UCF. I was lucky, though, that I had a friend who was going to UCF at the time to show me the ropes and how everything is done. What to do, fun places to visit. I was also able to find a community within SASE, which has brought me to my position now of having such an amazing friend group that I can be around, who are like-minded like me, driven, and determined. Always wanting to make myself better. I wanna be how my friend was for me, to other people who may be transferring from a smaller campus, or someone who's genuinely just new to the area. I want to be that beacon that someone can rely on.

Tip for future students

Obviously, go to your classes; you pay for them. Might as well go and learn. But don't only just go to your classes, if you know you're going to UCF or any college. Look up any clubs​/​ organizations that fit your needs and align with your interests. Do extracurricular activities, besides just going to class, cause these activities to be the easiest way for you to find people who have similar interests to you.

Favorite class

My favorite class would have to be Intro to Python. The teacher was amazing. I was able to rely on her if I needed any help with the material. She was always very helpful and would stay late after class to help people out. Her teaching method was ggreat she didn't go too fast, but she didn't go too slow. It was the best of both worlds.

Career goals

After college, I hope to have a full-time offer by the time I graduate. I would like to have a position within an esports team. I want to contribute to the esports scene in any way I can and do something like gaming that I've always been interested in since I was a little kid.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal way to spend a free night differs. I either like to hop on a Discord call with my friends, play some games, or just chat around. I also like hanging out with my friends outside, going to different places, trying new things, and honestly just enjoying each other's presence.

Previous college

St. Johns River State College. My transfer experience was seamless. I was able to talk with representatives for SJRS about transferring to UCF. I was able to get all the documents I needed, and I was able to get in contact with the UCF transfer representatives and make the whole process as easy as possible. UCF also has a transfer place, where any transfer students can go to meet other transfer students and get aligned with everything at UCF.
