Incoming MSU student excited to meet new people!

Hi! I’m an incoming freshman at MSU studying kinesiology on a pre-PT track. I’m super outgoing and love meeting new people, trying new things, and getting involved. I’m also really into dance and sports, and I’m so excited to start exploring campus and everything MSU has to offer. I just went through the whole college decision process myself, so I know how exciting (and a little stressful) choosing a college can be!

Clubs, organizations & involvement

Since I’m an incoming freshman, I haven’t officially joined any organizations at MSU yet, but I’m really excited to get involved. I’m interested in joining clubs and research related to kinesiology and physical therapy, as well as dance and other activities on campus.

Describe your college experience

I’m actually starting at MSU next week, so my college experience is just beginning! I’m really excited to meet new people, get involved, and experience everything MSU has to offer. Since I just went through the college decision process myself, I also know how exciting but overwhelming starting college can feel.

Tip for future students

My biggest tip is to not be scared or overthink everything. College can seem really intimidating at first, but once you get the hang of things, it shouldn’t be as scary as you thought. Just remember why you’re there, keep working toward your degree, and don’t give up when things get difficult.

Favorite class

My favorite class in high school was AP Psychology because it was really interactive and social. We played educational games, worked on group projects, and did activities around the school that involved talking to different people. I loved learning about how people think and interact, and it helped me become more confident communicating and working with others.

Career goals

I hope to become a physical therapist and eventually open my own clinic. I would love to work in sports physical therapy, especially with dancers, since dance has been such a big part of my life.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal free night would be getting together with some friends, having snacks, putting on a show or some music, and getting ready together to go out. I love meeting new people, having fun, and then coming back at the end of the night to debrief.

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite spot on campus is Spartan Stadium. I love how big it is and the amount of energy surrounding it, especially on game days. It really shows the school spirit at MSU and makes you feel like you’re part of something bigger.
