Hi, I'm Cooper Hudson. I'm a Political Science major who is actively involved in Greek Life and enjoys being part of the campus community. Outside of school, you'll usually find me exploring the outdoors, especially hiking the trails around Boulder. I enjoy meeting new people, taking on new challenges, and making the most of everything college has to offer.

Describe your college experience

My high school prepared me well for college. I have enjoyed my classes, getting to know other students in my dorm and now in my fraternity. I like to take advantage of all of the opportunities around Boulder to hike, snowboard and exercise.

Tip for future students

My suggestion to new students would be to be true to yourself. Immerse yourself in all that Boulder has to offer and find activities you enjoy to have a good school/life balance. Take the time to get to know as many students in the dorms and classes as possible; it's a diverse student body with so much to offer!

Favorite class

My favorite class this past year was Introduction to Political Science. I enjoyed the rigor and the discussions that came from others in the class. It made me think more deeply about other perspectives regarding varied political affiliations.

Career goals

After college, I would like to pursue graduate school, perhaps law school, and make an impact in the political arena.

Ideal way to spend a free night

A perfect night for me starts with dinner at Rincon with my friends. From there, we'd head back for a poker game, where we'd spend the rest of the night laughing, talking, and just enjoying each other's company. Those laid-back nights with good friends are hard to beat.

Favorite spot on campus

I love spending sunny days at Farrand Field, whether it's watching people play spikeball or just enjoying the atmosphere. One of my favorite parts is jumping into games with different groups and meeting new people. It's a great place to connect with others, and I enjoy the sense of community that comes with spending time there.
