Hi, I'm Dawson. I'm a junior at UGA majoring in political science and international affairs, working towards my Masters in public administration through the UGA double dawgs program. I'm a part of UGA's oldest student organization on Campus and have gone on unique study abroad experiences to Armenia and through the national parks. UGA is an amazing college with unique opportunities and so many ways you can have a great college experience. Describe your college experience

Coming into UGA was amazing. I was concerned that it was going to be a difficult transition because I didn't know anyone coming to campus, but I was incredibly fortunate to get involved with multiple organizations on campus that were welcoming and gave me the opportunity to make friends and connections throughout my time at UGA.

Tip for future students

UGA has so many organizations and opportunities to travel or make connections. Being at UGA is great for advancing your career or making friends. You can get experience being involved with student organizations or alumni or just have fun going to UGA student events and UGA games. Student life at UGA is amazing and you can get whatever experience you want from the opportunities that are here at UGA. UGA has so much to offer and you can get so much from UGA if you take advantage of those opportunities.

Favorite class

My favorite class I've taken was Foreign Policy Decision Making. This class gave me first hand research experience and qualifications while engaging with current events. It was such an entertaining class that was truly engaging and incredibly useful for my career.

Career goals

I want to work in the non profit sector. My goal is to work with charities and other organizations that are in need of critical support.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I like spending my nights with my friends. We go downtown and hangout or we have movie nights.

My favorite spot is always the quad on North Campus. It's great to sit there and relax or do readings
