Hello, my name is Tatum! I am a current junior at MSU studying animal science on the pre-vet track. I am involved in a few student led clubs and would love to answer any questions you have about MSU!

Clubs, organizations & involvement

I have been getting involved with the MSU dance club as a student where I can further my love for dance as well as the PVMA club which is a pre-vet club that allows for early exposure to internships and events for vet students.

Describe your college experience

Michigan State has been a blast! I applied as a freshman with AP and college credit and in just a year, I am already a junior. I love living on campus and going to class as campus is beautiful during all seasons.

Tip for future students

Don't be scared to be alone! College is a huge adjustment for everyone and you are not the only one feeling this way. Your friends will find you and there is no time limit to figuring out what you want to study or accomplish in college.

Favorite class

ANS 220 Introduction to Horse Management. This class was my favorite because we were able to go to the on campus horse farm and work hands on with the horses and preform different assessments.

Career goals

I hope to apply to MSU's vet school and continue my education here on campus. I hope to one day own my own vet practice and help animals of both domestic and livestock type.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I love an early night in watching a show or movie with my roommate and talking.

High school or secondary school

Tecumseh High School

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite spot on campus has to be the Spartan Stadium. I have gotten season tickets every year and it is so fun to go with my friends and cheer on our football team!
