Describe your college experience
Moving from out of state, I knew I had to let go of my fear of the unknown and embrace my extroverted side. I spent my first year exploring all that Santa Cruz has to offer, from discovering live music, hiking the beautiful trails on and off campus, and going to the beach with a group of friends. Over the past two years, this campus has become a home full of lasting friendships and memories. As an Environmental Studies major, the hands-on opportunities here are unmatched. This summer, I’m studying abroad in Amsterdam to learn about sustainable development from an entrepreneurial perspective! I can't wait to show you how you can build your own unforgettable experience here at UCSC.
Tip for future students
Make sure to put yourself out there and be spontaneous, you never know the cool people you will meet or fun experiences you will encounter.
Favorite class
My favorite class was the Natural History of UCSC as we got to explore the nature in UCSC through hikes and get hands on experience learning about natural history, habitats and native species. Taking this class make me double major in Environmental Studies and sparked an interest in Natural History.
Career goals
Work in enviromental policy and habitat/wildlife conservation.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Watch the sunset at the Natural Bridges State Beach followed by a house show featuring cool bands from UCSC and then head over to Pizza My Heart for a quick bite.
