Hi, I'm Tahel, a Pre-Med Honors Health Science Student at UCF
Hi everyone! I'm currently a Health Sciences major on the pre-med track with plans to become a pediatric physician. Outside of classes, I work as a Resident Assistant in the Honors community, conduct biomedical research, and serve in leadership roles across campus organizations. I remember how overwhelming the college search process felt, so I'm excited to provide honest insight about academics, housing, student involvement, and life at UCF.

Describe your college experience
My transition to college was exciting but definitely came with a learning curve. Getting involved early helped UCF feel much smaller and more personal. Through living in the Honors community, becoming an RA, joining organizations, and participating in research, I've been able to build an incredible support system and take advantage of opportunities I never expected to have this early in college. UCF is a large university, but if you're willing to put yourself out there, it can feel like a very close-knit community.
Tip for future students
Get involved early, even if it feels intimidating at first. Attend events, introduce yourself to professors, and try organizations that interest you. Some of my best opportunities and friendships came from saying yes to experiences that initially pushed me outside my comfort zone.
Favorite class
My favorite class so far has been Human Anatomy because I loved seeing how the systems of the body connect and function together. The course reinforced my passion for medicine and working with patients in the future. It was one of the first classes that made me feel like I was taking the next step toward becoming a physician.
Career goals
After college, I hope to attend medical school and eventually become a pediatric physician and join the Air Force.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal free night would include grabbing coffee with friends, going to a workout class, exploring Orlando restaurants or events, and ending the night with a movie or TV show.
