Hi everyone! My name is Madi, and I’m so excited to be your host!
Hi everyone! My name is Madi, and I’m a freshman here. I can honestly say I already love it here; it’s been such a fun and exciting start. I’ll be taking you around campus to show you some of my favorite spots, from where I go to class and study to the best places to grab food and hang out with friends. I know starting somewhere new can feel overwhelming, but this campus really feels like home, and I can’t wait to share why. Come along with me and see what makes this place so special!

Describe your college experience
My transition to college has been exciting and surprisingly smooth. At first, I was a little nervous about starting fresh in a new place, but I quickly found myself surrounded by welcoming people and opportunities to get involved. So far, my experience has been amazing—I’ve enjoyed my classes, made great friends, and already feel like this campus is home.
Tip for future students
Stay involved on campus because it helps you meet new people and feel connected. Always smile and keep a positive attitude it makes you more approachable. Stay open to new opportunities, even ones that feel outside your comfort zone. Don’t be afraid to speak to people, because starting conversations can lead to great friendships.
Favorite class
My favorite class so far is Oceanography because I love learning about the ocean and all the cool stuff in it. Every lecture and lab makes me even more curious about sea life, ocean currents, and how the ocean affects our world. I’ve really enjoyed it and it’s made me even more excited to keep learning about everything ocean-related.
Career goals
My career goal is to become a Child Life Specialist. I’m really passionate about helping kids feel comfortable, supported, and happy during difficult times, and I hope to make a positive difference in their lives every day.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal night is hanging out with friends, just relaxing and having fun together. We might grab some food, go for a walk around campus, or just chill and talk for hours. I love nights where we can laugh, share stories, and make memories without any stress just enjoying each other’s company.
