Describe your college experience

When I first got to UK, I was a little apprehensive because I didn’t know a whole lot of people and it was a new environment. After going to Kay wait for freshman I got to meet you. People learn about UK traditions and going to experience a little bit of what UK life would be like. I got to go to sporting events, eat some decent food and got to meet new people through some of the activities that they had on campus.

Tip for future students

•Have a pro and con list of every college that you are considering. •Take some time to talk to current students and alumni and get their perspective of what college was like for them as well as tips and tricks that could make their college experience more enjoyable. •Do not just choose a different college just because everyone else in your class is going to the same school sometimes having people that you know make college life more enjoyable. •Get to know your possible roommate before school starts. •The best advice that I can give a future student is branch out and join a club or organization that you feel passionate about whether that is student government or Team Wildcat. •Finally, if your major has an LLP (living learning program) check it out before deciding to live with on or off campus. Having students who have the same classes as you can sometimes be one of the best things that a student needs because they understand where you are coming from.
