Hi! I'm Sabrina, a senior majoring in psychology and applying to occupational therapy programs. I moved out of state and ended up loving GW. You can find me exploring a museum, eating at my favorite dumpling spot, going to the gym, playing pickleball, or studying in the library's fifth floor. I love using our student transit card on the metro​/​bus and finding good deals in the city. I'm more than happy to share my genuine perspectives as a student and show you different dining options, scenic views, and study spots on campus. I have founded a student organization called the Dementia Art Therapy Alliance at GW, and I was previously Secretary for the GW Pre-Health Association. I am also apart of GW Trails, Delta Epsilon Mu (Pre-Health Fraternity), GW Alternative Breaks, and the Chinese American Student Association.

Describe your college experience

I came from a suburban area, so living in a big city was new to me. I received lots of support from my scholarship cohort and mentors. I've loved exploring the Washington D.C. area ever since I was a freshman, especially after attending events called District Connections. I enjoy my classes and social network, and I could not have imagined going to college anywhere else.

Tip for future students

Don't be afraid to put yourself out there! Also, don't worry too much about other people's opinions and comparing your path to other people's.

Favorite class

I loved Psychology of Crime and Violence because the weekly guest speakers had extremely interesting stories to share! The professor implemented a straightforward teaching method as well.

Career goals

I hope to attend graduate school in occupational therapy and become a clinician.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I'd prepare or go out to eat a really delicious meal and sing karaoke with my friends.

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite spot on campus is the Corcoran Flagg building! I took an architecture class there. I am amazed at how pretty the interior is, and I like to study there and attend events sometimes.
