Friendly physiology student who understands the ins and outs of the campus.
Hey I’m Sophia! I’m a junior pre-med student who’s also involved in ASMSU which is our undergraduate student government, student emergency response team, women’s council, and the undergraduate election council for ASMSU. I know almost every route on campus and some amazing spots that you will absolutely love! Let me know if you have any questions, need any recommendations, or help finding resources!

Describe your college experience
The first few months took some getting used to due to being on my own for the first time, but as the months went on, it’s been amazing! There’s been many opportunities to connect and build relationships with others on campus and many resources available for everyone.
Tip for future students
Get out of your dorm and connect with other students as much as possible! There’s many opportunities for this such as clubs and events, and it’s important to make those connections.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been my writing class (WRA 101). It allowed me to use my creativity and decide how to problem solve in my writing, which has also increased my writing skills.
Career goals
I plan on taking a gap year after my undergraduate degree, then hopefully get into medical school. After that, I either want to start an OB/GYN or general surgery residency.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal night would be hanging out with my friends, cooking a meal, and having the opportunity to talk to each other about whatever’s on our mind!

Favorite spot on campus
My favorite spot would have to be the Beaumont tower. It’s relatively close to a few areas I’m usually at such as the library and the Union. The environment is beautiful as well as getting to hear the tower at certain times.
