Friendly kinesiology major who has run around every corner of campus!

Hi! My name is Nora and I am a junior at MSU studying kinesiology. I come from a long, long line of Spartans and have so much love for this school and campus! I grew up going to game days and to this day they still never get old. I love running, hiking, music, reading, traveling, crafts, and good food- all of which is even better in good company! I am always down for an adventure or a new experience, whether it’s a new food at the dining hall, an IM sport I’ve never tried, or even a random class about monsters. Either way, that’s led me to just about every corner of the campus! That also means I’ve tried every study spot you could imagine, so if you need a recommendation for a group study spot, a spot with a good cup of coffee, or (especially) for the last-minute-cramming-for-finals spot, I’m the girl to ask! For me, the people at MSU really make the place, and there are so many great places to meet them! As someone who loves to talk to new people, I’d love to chat as much as you’d like and answer any and all questions you have about being a student here at MSU!

Describe your college experience

It was definitely a big adjustment from high school, but I love being able to live in an area surrounded by other students and people in my age group. I feel like there is such a strong community here where everyone supports one another in reaching their goals. There are so many different groups and activities at MSU too and I feel like there is a place for everyone to feel like they belong here.

Tip for future students

Don’t get too caught up in the “perfect” plan for your future. It’s good to have goals and ambitions and to chase those, but the plans and goals may change. Don’t let that stews you out, just try to find what you love to do and chase that at the end of the day.

Favorite class

My favorite class so far was my psychology class. It was a lot different than what I would normally expect from my major classes but I felt like I could see how it applied to my field. I feel like I learned a lot about our society and how people work and I found it very interesting.

Career goals

I am planning on going into the healthcare field and am leaning towards physical therapy right now! I love exercise and the human body, and I also know I really just want to help people in my career. I think PT will be a fulfilling job for all of the aspects that are important and interesting to me.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Hanging out with my friends! Whether it’s a chill movie night in, going out on the town, or going to a game day I love to spend my time with my favorite people!

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite spot is the Landon Field. It was right outside my dorm last year and every time the weather was nice people would be outside reading, doing homework, hanging with friends, and playing any kind of ball sport their could get their hands on. It was always really wholesome to me and I could really see the community at MSU in those moments.
