Hi! I’m Ayush, a Michigan State University student studying Human Biology with a minor in Business. I’m friendly, easygoing, and always enjoy meeting new people. Outside of school, I like staying active, spending time with friends, playing guitar, and exploring new places. I’m currently working toward my goal of becoming a dentist and try to make the most of my college experience along the way.

Describe your college experience

Michigan State has been a really positive experience. Moving away from home and learning how to balance classes, work, and life on my own took some getting used to, but it’s helped me become much more independent. I’ve loved meeting new people, getting involved around campus, and making memories with friends. I’m studying Human Biology and am interested in pursuing dentistry, but I’ve also tried to make the most of college outside of academics. Overall, I’d say college has been a great mix of challenging myself, meeting awesome people, and figuring out what I want my future to look like.

Tip for future students

Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. Go to events, talk to new people, and get involved early, even if it feels a little uncomfortable at first. Also, don’t forget to enjoy yourself, college is about more than just getting good grades. Finding a good balance between school, work, and having fun makes the experience so much better.

IAH 231B - Propaganda, because you learn how psychological manipulation evolved from wartime posters to modern social media algorithms.

Career goals

After college, I hope to attend dental school and pursue a career as a dentist. I’m interested in building a career where I can work with people, make a positive impact in my community, and combine science with hands-on skills. I’m also looking forward to continuing to learn and grow throughout my career.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal free night would be grabbing food with friends, hanging out, and probably playing some music or video games. I like having a night where I can relax, have a good time, and not have to worry about school or work.

Favorite spot on campus

The Red Cedar River is probably my favorite spot on campus. It’s a great place to take a walk, hang out with friends, or just relax when I need a break from classes. It’s especially nice in the fall and spring when the weather is good.
