Hello! My name is Genesis Sanchez, and I am a freshman. On a pre-law track and am hoping to double major in Criminal Justice and Information Informatics & Technology. I commute an hour away to school every day. I am part of the Rutgers figure skating team as a beginner and the Latino student council. During my free time, I enjoy watching Korean dramas, crocheting, trying out coffee shops, and going to the rink.

Describe your college experience
My transition to college has been smooth even though I have to commute an hour away. By going to fairs, such as the study abroad fair, I am able to learn new things. Joining clubs has been a way for me to meet people around the globe.
Tip for future students
The best way to meet people is through clubs since you will meet people who have the same interests as you. Get a phone number or social media handles from your classmate in case you can not make it to class. Plan: Even though your class may start at 2:30, you have to take into consideration how much time it will take you to get there.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been Sociology of Family because it is a very interactive class. I enjoy hearing my peers' questions and thoughts about the material, since I believe the best way to learn is by listening and speaking to other people. This allows me to hear different perspectives.
Career goals
I hope to go into law school to pursue my Juris doctorate.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a night would be in my room, completing all my assignments, watching a Korean drama while crocheting, since it is peaceful.

Favorite spot on campus
My favorite spot on campus is the Livingston Student Center because it's quite peaceful, and I can get all my schoolwork done. Also, there are outlets where I can charge my devices.
