Describe your college experience
With total transparency, transitioning to college was a very big thing for me due to culture shock, the environment, leaving a big family, and just realizing I am somewhat on my own now. In the first quarter it took me awhile to accept and get used to the fact that I am now capable of being on my own schedule and doing things on my own. It was very different but slowly I got used to. Around winter quarter, I started to thrive more and figure things out more and learned what I like to do to keep myself busy. It is now spring quarter and my experience so far for my freshman year of college has been pretty good.
Tip for future students
Some thing I wish I would’ve known before coming to college is that you make your college experience the way you want it to be. Meaning if you want to be social during college you should join clubs, or be apart of greek life. If you want to play sports and arent part of the collegiate team, there is club sports, and recreational sports at the recreational center! If you want to succeed in courses, make sure to attend the lectures and discussions, take advantage of office hours. You have to put in the work now to make your college experience the way you want it to be.
Favorite class
My favorite class so far has been European theatre because my professor made it very intriguing and was very interactive with the students in lecture.
Career goals
After college I hope to become an owner of multiple buildings that could be renovated as party hosting buildings.
Ideal way to spend a free night
When I have a free night I usually call my family and friends back home. Watch about 1-2 movies that I haven’t seen before. Go on a late night walk. Sometimes maybe even treat myself to some fast food, ice cream, or boba!
