Texas A&M University
First-Gen Aggie Engineer & Kyle Field Game Day Tech w/ Eng. Academy Experience
Howdy! I’m an Electronic Systems and Engineering Technology student at Texas A&M University. I’m a first-generation and non-traditional student who has worked while attending school, balancing jobs and classes. I started at the Texas A&M Engineering Academy before transitioning to College Station, and I have a younger brother currently at Blinn working his way to TAMU, so I understand the different paths students can take to get here. I also work as a Game Day Technician with Daktronics at Kyle Field, which gives me a unique perspective on student life and Aggie traditions. I’d love to share my experiences, answer your questions, and give you a real, down-to-earth look at life as an Aggie.

Describe your college experience
I started in the Texas A&M Engineering Academy before transferring full-time to College Station. As a first-gen, non-traditional student working through school, the transition and journey has its challenges, but it’s been very rewarding. Being part of the Aggie community and working as a Game Day Tech at Kyle Field has made my experience here unforgettable.

Career goals
After college, I plan to work in engineering/technology, combining my skills in electronics, problem-solving, and adaptability. My goal is to build a career that allows me to keep learning, take on fun, challenging projects, and have the flexibility to balance work with life outside of the office/field.
Ideal way to spend a free night
