Describe your college experience

Transitioning to Cornell was both exciting and challenging, but it quickly became one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Coming from Long Island, I had to adjust to a new environment, a rigorous academic workload, and balancing multiple commitments, but I embraced the opportunity to step outside my comfort zone and get involved on campus. During my first year, I became active in organizations focused on sports business, analytics, law, and student engagement, including the Sports Business Society, Sports Analytics Club, Sports & Entertainment Law Society, and Cornell Athletic Advisory Board. Through these experiences, I built meaningful relationships, explored new interests, and developed skills in problem-solving, teamwork, and leadership. What I have enjoyed most about Cornell is being surrounded by driven, passionate people who constantly challenge me to think differently and grow. My experience so far has reinforced my interests in business, analytics, and entrepreneurship while helping me build a strong community on campus.

Tip for future students

One of the biggest lessons I've learned is that there is no single "right" way to do college. It's easy to compare yourself to others or feel pressure to do everything, but some of the most meaningful opportunities come from focusing on your own goals and being open to new experiences. Don't let imposter syndrome convince you that you don't belong here. Everyone arrives with different strengths, interests, and backgrounds, and you're still figuring out who you want to become. Be willing to step outside your comfort zone, try new things, and put yourself out there, whether that means joining a club, attending an event, or simply introducing yourself to someone new. At the same time, avoid getting caught up in burnout culture. Prioritize sleep, exercise, and building healthy study habits early. College is a marathon, not a sprint, and taking care of yourself will help you enjoy the experience and perform at your best.

Favorite class

One of my favorite classes so far has been Psychology of Work because it connected psychology, business, and everyday experiences in a way that felt immediately relevant. I enjoyed learning how factors like motivation, leadership, team dynamics, and organizational culture influence performance and decision-making. The course challenged me to think differently about how people interact in workplaces and reinforced my interests in business, sports, and understanding human behavior.

Career goals

After college, I hope to build a career at the intersection of sports, business, and relationships. I am particularly interested in sports business, athlete representation, marketing, and analytics, and I hope to work in a role where I can combine strategic thinking, negotiation, and relationship-building to create value for others. While I am still exploring different paths, my experiences at Cornell have reinforced my interest in dynamic environments where I can solve complex problems, collaborate with others, and continue learning. Ultimately, I want to build a career that allows me to make a meaningful impact while working in an industry I am passionate about.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal free night is a balance of staying active and spending time with people I care about. That could mean getting a workout in, watching a game with friends or family, trying a new restaurant, or simply relaxing and catching up with people after a busy week. I also enjoy exploring new interests, whether that's listening to a podcast, working on a project, or discovering a new spot around campus.
