Describe your college experience

Transitioning to college was challenging at first, as I often felt homesick and found it difficult to connect with others. Over time, however, I became involved in cultural, career-oriented organizations and a professional fraternity, where I met incredible people who made my college experience truly meaningful. Now, I love being here more than anything.

Tip for future students

One of the best pieces of advice I can give is to reach out to people as soon as you meet them, even if it's something as simple as grabbing food between classes. The beginning of college is when most people are actively looking to make new friends, so don't let the fear of rejection stop you from taking that first step. If someone is busy or doesn't respond, try not to take it personally-more often than not, it has nothing to do with you. But by choosing to reach out, you create opportunities that would never exist otherwise. A simple invitation can spark a conversation, grow into a meaningful friendship, and sometimes even lead to meeting the people who will become your closest friends throughout college and beyond. Often, the biggest difference between acquaintances and lifelong friends is simply having the courage to make the first move.

Favorite class

I like this psychiatry class I took which talked a lot about human behavior and different areas of the brain and how it works. Another class I took that I enjoyed a lot talked about women in power during the ancient times; it was a writing and history class! Those are some fun and niche picks, but overall I take a lot of science courses so my favorites are biology and chemistry courses.

Career goals

I have hopes of being a dermatologist, otherwise something in medicine, or possibly optometry or research!

Favorite spot on campus

North campus because it has the best food (pokes, paninis, matcha), and best study spots, very pretty view during the day!
