Describe your college experience

Coming from balmy Madison, Alabama, attending college in frigid Ithaca, NY was quite a change. Yet, I thoroughly enjoyed my first year at Cornell after finding some friends, new hobbies, and excelling in the academic realm.

Tip for future students

The starkest difference between an Ivy League School and most State Schools is the sheer academic competitiveness within the Student Body. You should not expect victory in every election or an A+ on each test, because of the high quality of the average student. To prospective students, I say, "don't expect to take over the school as a freshman."

Favorite class

Offered every Spring, LAW 4301 with Professor Dawn M. Chutkow was my favorite class. Prof. Chutkow masterfully details the history and modern applications of tort law, along with discussing criminal and administrative law. If you have any sympathies for Law School, I would highly recommend this class.
