Describe your college experience
My transition from high school to college was definitely an emotional journey, regarding getting acclimated to the uncharted territory of what college life was. Initially, I was nervous not knowing what to expect, but from day one of my orientation my anxiousness went away. I remember meeting so many friendly faces and everyone at Hofstra was incredibly welcoming. When classes started, I was able to ease into all my coursework, and my professors were all very nice and kept at a steady pace whenever we learned new material. Before I knew it, I made so many connections both with students and faculty on campus. Which has benefited me as I continue throughout my undergraduate career.
Tip for future students
One thing I wish I knew, was just how many resources college has to offer. As a college student, you definitely learn as you go about what your institution has at your disposal. My advice would be to pace it out and take your time exploring! Even as an upperclassman I am learning about all the wonderful opportunities students at Hofstra can take advantage of. That is why it is so important to ask questions as well. Whether it be asking your peers about a club or your professor about a research opportunity, communication is key for building connections in college. Never be afraid to speak up!
Favorite class
Industrial Psychology was my favorite class because it immediately grabbed my attention about studying research in the workplace!
Career goals
I aspire to become an Industrial Organizational Psychologist in the future. I hope to participate in research for different companies, such as focusing on studies on how workplace environments affect worker morale, or stress management studies.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Relaxing at home either sitting down watching a movie eating popcorn or reading a good book!
High school or secondary school

Favorite spot on campus
The tenth floor of the Axinn Library at Hofstra, because not only is it a quiet place to study and relax, but the view is also amazing, and you can see the entire campus from there!
