Describe your college experience

College has easily been one of the most transformative experiences of my life. Waking up every day with the freedom to intentionally choose the life I want to live is incredibly liberating and growth-inducing. In high school, it often felt impossible to curate a new sense of self because everyone already had a preconceived notion of who you were. However, the sheer scale of CU Boulder has given me the room to expand into my true self. It has allowed me to surround myself with an amazing community of people who share the exact same sense of drive and determination.

Tip for future students

The best piece of advice I can offer an incoming student is to tune out the "noise." It is so easy to feel overwhelmed by the weight of external expectations when you first get to college. However, it is incredibly important to stay true to your own goals and instincts. Don't be afraid to chase opportunities that might seem impossibly ambitious or "crazy" to others—this is your journey, and you are the only one who gets to define what is possible.

Favorite class

My favorite course so far has been Critical Encounters, a philosophy class centered on existence, belief, and perspectives on the self and society. Sharing the class with close friends made every day engaging, but the true highlight was how the material extended beyond the classroom. It sparked deep, ongoing discussions with peers that allowed us to unpack and expand upon these complex ideas in our everyday lives.

I hope to become an Orthopedic Surgeon to be an extension of God's healing hand.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal free night begins under the string lights of Pearl Street, catching up with friends. We usually head straight to Rosetta Hall first, navigating the lively energy to choose dinner from their five distinct cuisines. Plates in hand, we swap stories before wandering down the bricks to Trident Booksellers and Cafe. Finding a spot during one of their live performances, we let the music set the backdrop for deeper conversations about our lives, school, and everything in between.

Favorite spot on campus

My absolute favorite spot on campus is the Village Center Dining Hall. It has a well-deserved reputation for being the best dining hall on campus, and I completely agree. No matter if I'm stopping by for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, I can always count on spotting a familiar face to sit and catch up with. The Village Center has truly been the center for my worst days (APPM exams) and my best days (passing my APPM exams).
