Hi I'm Sonia, a rising Junior at Tufts double majoring in Economics and Psychology and minoring in Food Systems & Nutrition. I am involved in a variety of different organizations at Tufts from performing arts to greek life! I also serve as a peer leader for the pre-orientation programs and love sharing my experiences with new and prospective students and answering whatever questions you may have about what Tufts is really like!

Describe your college experience

Coming from a large public high school with little support for the college process, it was hard to adjust to an environment that was not just academically rigorous but also a new experience socially with different types of people that I had never been exposed to before. Ever since coming to Tufts though I have fallen in love with it and the novelty was exactly what I needed and has offered me such a wider point of view on life. I believe Tufts was the perfect fit for what I was looking for in a school and could not imagine myself happier anywhere else!

Tip for future students

Get involved with whatever you can, and don't hesitate to use the many amazing resources that the school offers

Favorite class

Sociology of Food - took this class purely for fun and it led me to want to pursue the minor in Food Systems & Nutrition because of how interesting it was to me

Not sure yet, but have had internships in Marketing so far!
