I came to BC from Houston, not knowing many people. Since then, I have really grown to love the school and feel completely at home. I'm involved in a few clubs on campus, which I think have offered immense support in my time here. I studied abroad twice, once in the summer and once in the spring, and loved both. I am pursuing a double major in mathematics and economics. I am currently living on campus, though I did spend a semester living in a house off campus. I lived on Newton campus my freshman year (and loved it!) I love BC and spend most of my time on campus, but I do a great job of also exploring the city of Boston and the area surrounding BC. I love animals, music, and working out, and I would definitely consider myself an extrovert.

Describe your college experience

I had a bit of an adjustment freshman year, as almost everyone does, but I have really grown to feel completely at home at BC! The people I have met are definitely the highlight of my college experience. You meet people doing so many different things, so friend groups are not cliquey at all! BC offers so many different ways to get involved on campus and maintain your interests or talents while meeting so many new people.

Tip for future students

Get as involved as you can during your Freshman year, and see what you love doing! Its so crucial to get outside of your comfort zone and meet new people, so say yes to hanging out and making new friends!

Favorite class

Real Estate and Urban Action. It is an "Enduring Questions" course offered to freshmen that counts for two classes. It was taught by two incredible professors, and there was a lab component that required designing your own mixed housing complex. It was a great way to meet people, and it forced you to think outside of the box in the context of the relevant economic theory and current state of affordable housing.

Career goals

I hope to work in financial services at least for a few years and maybe go back to school. My end goal is to end up back in Houston working for my family business.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I love having people over! My favorite thing to do is invite a friend or a group of friends over and make them food while we sit and hang out.
