Current Museum studies Grad student and former Archaeology Major, both at GW!

Hello! My name is Ella, I'm a current Masters student at the Corcoran school for Museum studies set to graduate in 2027, and came back after I graduated from GW in 2025 with a degree in Archaeology. I know campus like the back of my hand at this point, and I love to answer questions for people starting their GW journey! If you are looking for someone who went a more unconventional route with a smaller program within the Columbian College, or are interested in a Graduate program at Corcoran, I'd love to talk to you!

Describe your college experience

Whe I went to GW I had some of the best professors in the country for Near Eastern Archaeology. In addition, there was a great deal of ethical instruction on how to be respectful to communities, and it set me up very well for my current masters program at Corcoran for Museum studies

Tip for future students

Favorite class

Dead Sea Scrolls, I loved the prof and it was the most engaging class I've ever taken

Career goals

I'm hoping to be a museum professional working in repatriation

Ideal way to spend a free night

Honestly, I'm a tour guide in my spare time for the National Mall as well as various museums across DC, and I love it so much. I thrive off talking to people, and I love working a crowd

High school or secondary school

Mercersburg Academy

Favorite spot on campus

I love Gelman. Its such a good study environment, and even after 5 years I am still discovering new areas and resources
