Describe your college experience
Starting college was definitely a big adjustment for me—balancing classes, making new friends, and becoming more independent took time. At first, it felt overwhelming, but I quickly found my routine and got involved on campus. Over time, I’ve grown more confident in myself, built meaningful relationships, and learned how to manage my time and responsibilities. Overall, it’s been a really rewarding experience both academically and personally.
Tip for future students
Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone—join clubs, talk to new people, and ask for help when you need it. Also, stay organized and manage your time early on, because it makes a huge difference. I wish I had known that it’s okay not to have everything figured out right away—everyone is adjusting just like you!
Favorite class
My favorite class was Anatomy, which I took in my freshman year! The professors were amazing and made the information super interesting. This class also had a lab with it, which allowed me to see cadavers. This class truly sparked my interest in nursing and gave me a great foundation for my current classes!
Career goals
I plan to begin working as an intensive care nurse after I graduate, then return to school to complete a CRNA program.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal free night is a mix of relaxing and recharging—either spending time with friends watching a movie or going out to eat, or having a quiet night in with a good show, snacks, and some time to unwind after a busy week. There are so many awesome spots and things to do in Columbus, I'm always able to find a new fun activity to do on a free night!
