Describe your college experience
In high school, I was very focused on STEM, but Cornell pushed me to think more broadly about business, sustainability, and the kind of impact I want to have. Because I transferred, I put in extra effort to be involved in the Cornell community and have gotten to know it extremely well. It has been an amazing experience.
Tip for future students
Don't hesitate to reach out to anyone at Cornell. Students and professors alike are incredibly welcoming and willing to help, so take advantage of that.
Favorite class
My favorite has been Sustainable Business. The professor brought a lot of real-world experience into the classroom, and it changed how I think about the intersection of business and environmental impact.
Career goals
I want to go into finance, with a longer-term interest in the startup space. I am already getting experience in both areas while at Cornell.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Taking a walk around Collegetown with friends or doing a karaoke night.
High school or secondary school
Mamaroneck High School, Westchester, NY (grades 10-12) and the International School of Berne, Switzerland (grades 6-9).
Previous college
Emory University. I had a guaranteed transfer and decided to make the switch. Both communities are wonderful, but I wanted to be closer to home in New York.
