Computer Science Sophomore
I'm majoring in Computer Science with minors in Creative Writing and Data Science. Outside of class, I'm involved in a wide variety of extracurriculars, including Philharmonia, Typhoon Dance Troupe, FutureDev, residential area councils, and more. This past summer, I also pursued research through the OUR's summer undergraduate research grant. I live on south campus in a residential college.

Describe your college experience
I've found the transition to college incredibly joyous and exciting. I've met so many different people from all kinds of backgrounds that have changed my perspective so much in just a year.
Tip for future students
I've found it invaluable to have a plan/direction of what I want to accomplish here. There are so many opportunities that will pass you in the blink of an eye, so it never hurts to start planning early if there's something you know you want to be involved in, whether that be research, study abroad, a specific extracurricular, a major, or something else.
Favorite class
I really loved "Plato on Love and Philosophy," my first year writing seminar. I wasn't necessarily planning to take a philosophy class at Northwestern, but I found the content incredibly interesting and useful in developing my writing and argumentation. Because of the quarter system here, the sheer number of classes I take each year means that I've gotten to explore a lot of subjects that I otherwise might not have.
Career goals
I'm planning to pursue a career as a software engineer.
Ideal way to spend a free night
I'd grab dinner with some friends before a casual hang out, whether that's playing mahjong, watching a movie, or having a very long yap session.
High school or secondary school
North Allegheny Senior High School, Wexford, PA, USA
Favorite spot on campus
Fran's, a late night cafe that serves chicken tenders/burgers/milkshakes until 1 a.m.! I'm a bit biased since it's located in the basement of my dorm, but I've enjoyed many meals and late night convos there with friends.
