Describe your college experience
I've enjoyed my time in college so far. I've pretty drastically altered through the clubs I've been a part of, in my freshmen year serving on the boards of the undergraduate literary magazine and the film club, to last semester becoming an Arts and Culture Writer for the Columbia Daily Spectator.
Tip for future students
During freshmen year, I'd recommend putting yourself out there. It can't hurt to try out a plethora of different clubs. It's such a great time to figure out what you like.
Favorite class
My favorite class so far has been Film Noir taught by James Schamus. It was a very theory heavy class. The professor expected us to put a lot of effort into our papers, meaning collectively my peers and I got a lot of the class as a whole.
Career goals
I hope to work in arts journalism, and also write screenplays.
Ideal way to spend a free night
An ideal free night at Columbia is to be with friends and see live music performed by students.
