Describe your college experience

My college experience has been educational. Not only academically but “spiritually”. It has given me a confidence boost I never thought I needed. The confidence in my ability to juggle what needs to be done with what can wait (and sprinkling in a little bit of fun). In a nutshell, colleges made me realize that, whatever life may throw my way, I’m gonna be okay. Because I know can handle it.

Tip for future students

I’d give 5 tips: 1. You are living a memory right now. How do you want to remember your college years? 🧐 2. Call your family, or your friends from home; keep that connection. It is incredibly healing. ❤️‍🩹 3. Create a personal schedule, that you know you can manage, and stick to it. This will add structure when things become “hectic”. 💪🏾 4. When times get tough remember your “why”. (And also do something for yourself during that time. You deserve it 😉) 5. Invest in an electric heater, standing fan, gloves, and a marshmallow coat! (Especially if your southern like me, you have been warned 🙃)

Favorite class

Acting class is my favorite because I get to learn new things about the art form but also about myself. Not a day passes by in which I don’t learn something new to journal about the next morning.

Career goals

Live in NY or LA and begin my acting career.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Movie night at the Manor Theatre and a Belgian waffle with strawberry ice cream and chocolate syrup

Favorite spot on campus

Schenley Park. Reason being, it looks good 365 days out of the year (sometimes 366 days). I go there every morning at 5:30am to just sit and breathe. Go get some coffee and around 8:00am comeback there to read a bit and then go to class later that morning. It also happens to be a beautiful place to think.
